Refreshing and relaxing, this Lavender hydrosol was made with our copper alembic from the flowering tops of a variety of Lavender species. The Lavender was hand-picked in our garden and at the Beacon Food Forest and filled our workshop with an amazing, soothing scent. The hydrosol has a beautifully floral and earthy aroma, which many people will experience as calming.
Lavender has calming and cooling properties for the body and mind. It can also help soothe irritated skin. It's nice to spray in your bedroom (on your linens or in the air) to help settle down after a long day.
You can use Lavender hydrosol in recipes in the kitchen (think cocktails and cocktails). My preferred uses are external:
Room Freshener. Lavender is especially lovely before going to sleep.
Spray and inhale. Lavender is known to calm body and mind.
Use as a face toner or mist. Suitable for irritated skin, you can blend with other products, like Witch Hazel.
Mist all over the body after a day in the sun.
When not in use, store your hydrosols in a cool dark place. A refrigerator is ideal! Our aim is to offer the most untouched, unadulterated plant extracts, that’s why Hildegard’s hydrosols are preservative-free. Our unpreserved hydrosols come with the recommendation that they must be used in 6 months’ time after opening (contact with air).
