WINTER ROOTS: movement + plants for this season
AKA Rosa's birthday class!

Tuesday, December 17, 9:30-11am Pacific on Zoom

You're invited! December is Rosa's birthday month and to kick off another lap around the sun, she’s offering something special. Just a few days before the Winter Solstice, this online gathering will bring together some of her favorite things.

  • We’ll practice 30-minutes of gentle (seated) movement to sync up with the season
  • Followed by a 50-minute plant party where we'll discuss three of Rosa’s cherished medicinal roots.
  • We'll wrap up with a quick 10-minute Q&A
  • Can't join live? We'll send a link with the recording (available for 2 weeks)

Cost: Class is pay-what-you-can. Class actual cost is $45.

If you haven’t heard, Rosa’s heading back to herb school in 2025. All proceeds of this class will go towards her Clinical Herbalism Training Fund.

We hope you’ll join us!

ABOUT the teacher

Rosa Vissers (she/her) is the co-owner of Hildegard. She grew up in The Netherlands and fondly remembers making “potions” out of flowers and lake water as a child. Starting in her oma's garden, Rosa has continued to tend medicinal plants in parking strips, gardens, and windowsills. Rosa has completed two Permaculture Design Certificates and studied herbalism with Natalie Hammerquist of Adiantum School, Asia Suler of One Willow Apothecary and many others through the years. The plants continue to be her guiding teachers.

Rosa's other big love is movement. A dance artist and teacher with an international performance career spanning 20 years, she deeply believes in the intelligence of our bodies. Her dance and yoga classes are an invitation to connect with the wisdom that lives in our cells. She worked with Yoga Behind Bars from 2009-2023, serving as Executive Director, facilitating Trauma-Informed Yoga trainings, and sharing yoga with hundreds of incarcerated people.
